Sexy does not have to be forced. Sexy is: smart girls. Being comfortable in your own skin is full of grace. Ever seen a Tom Boy not even trying get the "damn girl double take?" Because looking like a babe comes from within....and when you're comfortable, you give off the mellow awesome vibes. Like Susan! Her casual style in the MajorMini looks effortlessly beautiful.

Makeup is such a huge part of female life. Whether you wear it or not, you are surrounded by it everyday. Makeup is a passion and love for a lot of women, causing them to spend endless amounts of money on all the new products and acquire drawers full of it. There are now tons of beauty influencers, bloggers, vloggers, etc. who are literally famous for doing great makeup. Women love talking about makeup and showing off how well they can do it. So if makeup is used to enhance your naturally beautiful face, and shapewear is used to enhance your naturally beautiful figure, then why do so many women show off about makeup but are so ashamed of wearing shapewear? The concepts are the same but relate to different parts of the body. Just like nail polish is used to enhance your hands and feet, but women love to show off their new mani/pedi to everyone they come into contact with.
Why is there so much shame in enhancing your beautiful figure? We use endless products to enhance every other part of our bodies, but we aren’t ashamed of those. Shapewear needs to be on the same level as makeup and nail polish, where women love showing it off and are proud of it.
This starts with self love and being proud of the skin you’re in. It happens when we stop picking apart other women for their flaws and start SUPPORTING them instead. When we create an environment where women don’t have to hide their imperfections, then we create an environment where shapewear is socially acceptable and something women show off about wearing.
So let's start a movement to make shapewear as exciting and fun as makeup. Let's start a movement to take the shame out of shapewear and get women to start talking about shapewear the same way they talk about makeup. There is nothing wrong with wanting to enhance your naturally beautiful body! You are beautiful just the way you are, but sometimes enhancements add a little pep to your step.

How often have you been told you can’t wear something because of your body? I’ve heard plus-size girls can’t wear cropped tops, girls with big butts can’t wear short shorts, tall girls can’t wear short dresses, etc. WHY?! Who has the right to tell a woman what she can and can’t wear? The answer is NO ONE. No one can tell you what you can and can’t wear because you are in charge of your own body. The only thing that matters is that you feel comfortable in your clothes. If you’re a curvy beauty and you feel sexy in a crop top, then rock it! Don’t let anyone take away your confidence because of dumb rules people have made up.
I am short and curvy, so I often have a hard time finding clothes that flatter my body. When I am seeking inspiration and outfit ideas, I often look to celebrities I admire and see how they dress for their bodies. Here are some ladies that expertly dress their curves who I often draw inspiration from.
Demi and I have almost identical body types so I always follow her style to find different outfits I can wear to flatter my curves. She rocks bodycon dresses, jumpsuits, maxi skirts, trousers, and more. I love how versatile her style is and how she can rock so many different types of clothing.
The queen of long dresses! Although Adele usually sticks to this silhouette, she always looks amazing while accentuating her curves at the same time. Adele isn’t one for showing a lot of skin which is why I am so interested in her style, because she is one of the only celebrities who likes to cover up.
How cute is she?! One thing I love about Jennifer and her style is that she always looks comfortable and confident in what she is wearing. There is nothing more beautiful than that! Jennifer continuously chooses colors that look great on her gorgeous skin tone and silhouettes that make you say “Daaaaaamn!”
Mindy definitely knows what styles flatter her body. She typically sticks to simple silhouettes but she knows which ones look best on her. It’s always nice having a go-to style that you know will always look good on you, which Mindy is an expert at.
So ladies who need help dressing their curves (definitely me!), I hope this helps bring you some inspiration and fashion ideas. Always remember though, NO ONE can tell you what to wear! Only you can tell you what to wear. You're beautiful just the way you are.
