After a few appearances in the last few seasons, fringe has finally gone high fashion. We’re seeing fringe everywhere this Spring, and we’re loving it. Everything from long, delicate strands that fancy up kimono sleeve to seventies inspired leather fringe accents on bags and shoes.
Olivia Palermo was the first style star to take the look from the runway to the street. She’s been consistently wearing fringe for months. Other celebrities, including Kendall Jenner and Alessandra Ambrosio, followed suit quickly.
And now that Spring 2015 is here, how will you wear fringe? The key is to let a little bit of fringe be the star. Too much all over and you’ll look like an extra from a 1970’s cowboy extravaganza.
Layer it up, experiment with metallics or minimal black and white… If you’ve got a big night out, there’s no better way to make magic on the dance floor than to shake your fringe! (Take a cue from the 1920’s flappers!) With so many options there are tons of ways to take this Spring 2015 trend and make it yours.
How are we going to do it? The easiest way possible, with a fabulous fringed bag. These are some of our favorites (starting with the black bucket bag at the bottom and going clockwise), from See by Chloe, Vince Camuto, Rebecca Minkoff and (of course) Gucci.
